This Chinese word for "and" cannot be used when connecting to sentences at random. 和 (hé) is for expressions of a similar kind. You can say "A Car 和 (hé) A Train". But you cannot say "I went by car and 和 (hé) I don´t like to travel by train." See "And Also" (还有 háiyǒu)
